You might assume, based on her automatic question, that Andy makes a habit of farting in the sippy cups in our home then securing the lids to capture the stench for an unsuspecting child to later discover. I almost want to let you believe that to be true. It's not. He doesn't. Why that was her first inclination is beyond me.
Maybe the people in this house have an unhealthy obsession with farts. Or at least the people under 3 feet high.

Now THAT was absolutely hilarious!!!!
Hahahaha! I must have the sense of humor of a 3 year old as well because this made me laugh out loud. I love the things kids say!
We have a bad habit of stinky sippy cups too. My daughter leaves them somewhere and then by the time we find them they are so gross. My OCD requires they be completely sterilized, but usually they get thrown away. I find if I have just one sippy cup that I am required to wash out every time, we don't have that problem.
So funny!
I swear, everything seems to be associated with farts here too, Lol!
HaHa!! That's so cute!! Yes, my daughter loves one of her Einstein videos that shows a cow farting, she talks about it for hours after. She's 3 1/2 and already a fan of toilet humor!
I wonder very often how little kids come up with the things they do.
Lol!
I love the things that come out of 3 year olds mouths! So brutally honest! :)
Sounds like something that would be said around our house! Too funny!
Kids DO have an unhealthy obsession with farting, and all things body-humor related!
So, both the kids said, "mama" first? That is impressive! In our house, it was Cookie, Daw (for the nanny), Dada, Ducky (the dog), THEN mama... but she uses my name in context much better than anyone elses :)

That's a funny story. When my son was in kindergarten I actually had him bring in the book, The Gas We Pass; The Story of Farts by Shinta Cho. His kindergarten teahcer thought it was a hoot and she read it to the class. It is educational, well as educational as reading about farts can be, but it is so funny.
It isn't just 3 y/o or those under 3 feet tall, either. My dear son (5) and stepson (18) love all things fart and fart related. Its terrible and funny all at the same time.
I would have laughed, too!
I throw out sippys like that.
Ha ha ha! That is such a 3 year old thing to say. In my house, with 2 boys and 1 man, there's plenty of "toot" humor around here!
well, did he? on purpose?
Haha! That's hilarious... and gross! At least she didn't just pick it up and start drinking from it right away. Then she'd be drinking "farts". LOL
Hahaha!... Oh my, been there too! I agree with Shell, I just throw sippy cups like that out! : ) Too funny!
HAHA...the same obsession exists over here! Except I always get the blame!!
Lol that is too cute!
HAHA! Thanks for the laugh. :)
My daughter who is 4 thinks farts (or tushie bubbles) are SO FUNNY and i tend to laugh with her so there you have it! That was a cute story and it is good to have a sense of humor.
Lucky for you... I have one well OVER 3 ft tall (6' 2" in fact) that at times has that same obsession. LOL
Fart jokes make.me.laugh.every.single.time!
There is nothing in the world like the stench of a dirty sippy cup.
OHMYWORD!
I think I could vomit in my mouth right this minute.
Hahaha! How kids brains work is just so amazing!
Old sippy cups do stink though!
I don't know what it is about bodily emissions...but I think for as long as I live I will think they are funny!! So, my kids come by it naturally!
Hilarious post!
Ah ha ha ha ha! ;) Great story!
I know what is it about 'potty' humor?!! Yesterday my 7 year old sniffed the puppy's bottom.. b/c he 'wondered' why they do it... sometimes I just can' t relate to my kids...LOL!
Hahaha, that is almost making me gag right here. Hilarious:) Now go put that cup in the dishwasher! LOL.
Too funny! I laughed so hard reading this : ) And some times our cups smell like that too and I end up just throwing them away.
that is the best kind of humor!!
